Some of the words I don’t say related to birthing

As my language series comes to an end, I’m finishing with a couple of very short posts.

In birthing, some of the words I don’t say are:

‘due date’

‘contraction’

‘labour’

‘caught the baby’.

These words can deeply affect how a woman feels and how she perceives her birthing experience, her body and her baby.

Words can profoundly affect how powerful a woman feels and knows herself to be.

The Disconnected Domination Culture controls through tricking women into believing that they are not the powerful birthing beings that they are.

One of the ways we are co-creating a post DDC world is through remembering how truly powerful we are.
