You might know my mothering work more than my entrepreneurial work.
So, I’d love to explain why I teach about Psychospiritual Entrepreneurship and how it understand the relationship between Soul and personality.
Lets rewind nearly 30 years! In my twenties, I was both training and working in psychospiritual psychotherapy, which is all about the Journey of the Soul, AND in developmental psychology, as a Post-Doctorate Research Fellow.
I became passionate about the whole journey of life and how our experiences as babies and children profoundly affect the rest of our life, including our capacity to follow our Callings.
As a psychotherapist, I saw how much people were still deeply affected by their childhood experiences, so alongside me becoming a mother, I also focussed on working with birthing mothers and then in parenting.
During my thirties, my focus was on parenting. But then I was increasingly drawn to support mothers in the psychospiritual invitation of mothering to also heal their childhood hurts and free themselves from harsh inner dialogue including guilt.
And in that journey of working with mothers, I realised that the entrepreneurial journey is itself a profound psychospiritual invitation:
To become more who we really are;
For our personality to become a more accurate reflection of our Soul;
To live an increasingly authentic life;
To listen lovingly to our unheard inner children;
To change our inner dialogue;
To replace procrastination and hustle with willingness;
To feel deeply connected with all of Life; and
To understand the messages from Life.
Psychospiritual Entrepreneurship is unique in that:
it doesn’t just focus on Soul and Calling and Spirit (which can lead to spiritual bypassing);
nor does it simply look at inner children and healing old hurts (which can lead to repression of the sublime);
nor does it just focus on taking action and practical details (which can lead to inner coercion, exhaustion and external hitches and glitches);
nor does it just focus on making a living (which can lead to a Dark Night of the Soul);
It includes ALL the aspects of a human being:
Listening to and valuing our unique Callings that bring purpose and fulfilment to our lives;
Hearing and reparenting our inner children and bringing them along with us;
Taking willing action, which is the channel between Calling and Manifestation, which helps us connect into the Life Force of the Universe;
Compassionately including our needs and feelings, so that our beautiful vehicle can bring our gifts into the world;
Healing our money hurts and making a living making a difference.
This approach is profoundly inclusive; it’s a wholistic approach which includes ALL aspects of us.
No need to affirm away scared inner children;
No need to deny our needs for rest and play;
No need to force ourselves to take action.
This is a deeply compassionate and powerful approach, which connects us to our true Soul Nature as Lovingness and Willingness, so that we can bring our own flavour of Love into the world.
