Inner Loving Money

Today, my 17 year old daughter and I went shopping.

I wonder how you feel when you spend money, or save money, or receive money?

From my Inner Loving Crew work – which is all about developing our relationships with our Inner Loving Mother, Inner Loving Father, Inner Best Friend and Inner Beloved, I came to the Inner Loving Money work.

When we are growing up, we internalise our experiences and relationships, and they become inner relationships.

So, for example, our relationship with our mother and father become internalised into relationships with our Inner Mother and Inner Father.

Where those relationships contain experiences of pain, we can bring in our Inner Loving Mother and Inner Loving Father to listen with loving compassion and give us reparative experiences.

Similarly, our experiences with money as we’re growing up (including how our family was with money, our first part time job, our pocket money, the media and culture) become internalised as Inner Money.

The beautiful thing is, that just as we can develop our relationships with our Inner Loving Crew, so can we develop a relationship with Inner Loving Money.

So, back to shopping today.

My daughter and I don’t shop for clothes very often. We’re both passionate about caring for the environment and value spending money consciously.

We had fun! I bought an organic duvet and sheets and she got some new clothes. We had lunch together afterwards.

I remember I used to feel guilty after spending money, or scared, or uncomfortable.

Nowadays, if I feel any fear after spending money, I can connect in with Inner Loving Money, who at the moment says, “You can trust me to be here for you, Marion.”

I value having consciousness around money, and around spending and saving.

I love that my Inner Loving Money process helps me bring more loving consciousness to my relationship with money.
